311 GA Highway 49 North, Ste 240
Byron, GA 31008
We are in the Peach Shops at Byron, behind Denny's in Byron, to the left of Vanity Fair.
You bet! After the worship music, kids are dismissed to Kids City, a fun and lively children's Church. There your child will enjoy an exciting Bible lesson, crafts, and worship music. Once the adult message is finished, children will be returned to their parent(s) or guardian(s).
The choice is yours. Some wear slacks and a jacket, many wear jeans, some wear shorts. We're not interested in how you dress - we're interested in pointing you towards Jesus!
Our motto is, 'Come as you are, leave changed.'
Our Sunday service starts at 10:30am and lasts until about 11:45am.
Come early for coffee and doughnuts! Calvary Cafe opens at 10:00am.
When you see our church building (Suite 240, next to Vanity Fair), enter through the double doors with our name on them. We'll be waiting to greet you and will show you around.
You will find plenty of parking space available once you reach the shopping center.
We sure do! The Calvary Cafe is open from 10:00am to 12:00pm and offers coffee and refreshments at no cost.
Well, we'll expect you to stand up in church and introduce yourself and give us about a 10-minute introduction.
NO! Just kidding!
No matter who you are or where you're from, we want you to know that you're welcome here and that you belong! We also hope and pray that you'll feel right at home!
When you arrive, you'll enjoy a casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere, with people from all walks of life who will love you just as you are.
We hope you'll come as you are, and leave changed.
Well, we open the service with snakes to demonstrate our faith. No! Just kidding!
We open with prayer.
We then worship the Lord with about 3 or 4 songs.
We worship through giving. We do not pass around an offering plate and do not expect our guests to give unless they feel compelled by the Lord to do so.
Our lead pastor, Pastor Myke, teaches from the Bible, verse-by-verse. The teaching usually lasts about 45 minutes.
We then enjoy a time of reflection and close in prayer.
The entire service lasts about 75 minutes.
Our worship music is contemporary in genre and Christ-honoring in nature. You'll find a good mix of traditional hymns and today's contemporary favorites. Our songs are mostly "vertical," which means that we sing for an audience of one - the Lord.
We have a full worship band with drums, guitars, bass, etc. Yet our worship is reverent in that we seek to glorify God and not to entertain the masses.
PS: Here's a playlist of some of the more fequent worship songs we sing at Byron City:
