There are many changes that come with each new season,  and fall is my absolute favorite.  It’s the season for boots,  bonfires,  and pumpkin spice lattes.  It’s the season for football,  crisp air,  and falling leaves.  Fall is the best!  However,  during all these changes,  there is one thing that doesn’t change and that is Jesus Christ.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

He is constant and trustworthy.  Aren’t you thankful for that?  We never have to wonder if He’s going to let us down or if He will fail.  He won’t!  It doesn’t matter what “season” we are going through in life.

Some seasons are hard and some are joyful, but He is with us through ALL of them.

The year 2020 has certainly been a tough season.  We’ve seen lots of changes and endured through some trying times.  Many have lost jobs,  others have lost loved ones,  several have lost hope.  But I’m so thankful for the one true God,  who doesn’t change and who offers hope.  When things are looking down in life and we become confused or discouraged,  we can look to our Hope and trust that He is in control.

What season of life are you in right now?  God is there in the midst.  He wants us to draw near to Him,  so He can draw near to us,  James 4:8.  He is there to be that present help in a time of need,  Psalm 46:1.  Don’t be discouraged or lose heart.  Seek Him above all else.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."

So as we journey on and embrace this new autumn season,  let’s be found faithful,  let’s trust His ways,  let’s “fall” deeper in love with Jesus.
