Almost everyone on the planet knows John 3:16. But John 3:17 is equally important:

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17)

Ever felt condemned? It’s one of the worst feelings ever! You feel worthless and ineffective. It can really cause you to fall into depression. Unfortunately, the church has been too much of a place of condemnation and too less a place of encouragement.

We can be thankful that God’s point in sending Jesus was not to condemn the world, but to save the world! It is God’s plan that ALL come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Christianity is not and should not be used as condemnation.

If God didn’t choose Jesus to condemn, he certainly didn’t choose you or me to condemn. When we condemn others, we are misrepresenting Jesus.

Let’s learn to encourage one another, love one another, and build one another up, and leave the condemnation to the Lord.

In Christ,
Bobby
