The old adage “all good things must come to an end" is kind of true, yet kind of not true with the Apostle Paul. His 2nd missionary journey, which spanned 2 years, is coming to an end. BUT after a short break, the 3rd missionary journey, which spanned 4 years, will quickly commence.
This passage transitions us from the 2nd to the 3rd missionary journey. As it does, we see Paul, Apollos, and others using their God-given gifts not to glorify themselves, but to glorify God.
