OUR PURPOSE
BCC's Men’s Ministry exists to support Godly men as the spiritual leaders of their home. Our desire is to equip, disciple, instruct, and teach men with proven Biblical principles so that they can exercise a Godly influence in their homes, churches, jobs, and communities, all to the glory of Jesus Christ.
Our Men's Ministry provides men the opportunity to be discipled through the teaching of the Bible, to build strong friendships, to share struggles, to receive encouragement, and to engage in real talk about life in a safe space. We believe that together we can make a difference in our homes, at our jobs, in our communities, and throughout our cities.
WHY MEN'S MINISTRY
Ready yourself for some sobering statistics….
The typical U.S. congregation draws an adult crowd that’s 61% female, and only 39% male (George Barna).
On any given Sunday, there are 13 million more adult women than men in America’s churches (2000 Census, David Murrow).
This Sunday almost 25% of married women will worship without their husbands (George Barna).
Over 70% of the boys who are being raised in a church will leave it during their teens and twenties (Lifeway Research).
And ... fewer than 10% of U.S. churches are able to establish or maintain a vibrant men’s ministry (David Murrow, author of Why Men Hate Going to Church).
The men that are called to be serving and leading are leaving ... we need to reach the men.
Men are dealing with serious issues of temptation, adversity, and hardship on a daily basis, which threaten to derail not only them but their families as well. Therefore, men desperately need a refuge where they can come, get equipped, pray for each other, and fight the good fight of faith together. Men's Ministry provides just that!
Come be part of this awesome movement of Jesus-following men! Join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month, 8:30am for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and Bible study. Often, we enjoy special guest speakers, as well. Have questions?
