We're over 50% there! Thank you for your support!

Dear friends,

The recent COVID-19 pandemic and crisis has caused a lot of churches to rethink the various ways in which they stay connected with their members and the community. The same holds true for us. When COVID 19 hit, we were blessed with an easy transition to virtual services via Zoom. This worked well for us for that time, and we saw attendance peak at close to 50 people. This was a wonderful way for us to stay connected, share with one another, and conduct some semblance of a worship service during uncharted times.

Now that we are meeting in person again, we’ve quickly learned two important things:

1) Zoom is not the best medium by which to connect remote worshippers to a live worship service, and

2) We are technologically unequipped to deliver a quality virtual worship service to those who are unable to join us in person.

As such, our leadership has determined that we need to make an investment in technology in order to share our worship service and Bible teaching over live stream on our website, YouTube, and Facebook. We think developing a quality live stream service will benefit the church and God’s kingdom by:

  • Helping those who can’t join us physically from missing church or getting out of the habit of attending church
  • Providing a way for members to stay connected with their church family when they are at home, traveling, or can’t physically attend for any reason
  • Connecting us with those in our community who may want to “check us out,” but aren’t quite ready to make the plunge to attend in person
  • Demonstrating to the sick, elderly, or shut ins that they matter too, and that we’ve made the sacrifices necessary to connect with them
  • Providing more online Bible-based content for the lost to discover as they seek to know more about Christ and the salvation He so richly offers

The investment into such technology is expensive. As we understand right now, here’s what we’ll need:

  • An Apple iMac computer capable of processing multiple video feeds at once ($3000)
  • Fixed mount live stream cameras (2 @ $500 each)
  • Digital video camera ($400)
  • Video control panel ($400)
  • Misc. hardware for set up ($200)
  • A $10,000 bonus for Pastor Myke (OK, I made that one up, but it sounded good!)

The total we’d need for this investment is $5000.

Would you prayerfully consider investing in this opportunity for our church? We’re excited about the opportunities this will bring us – opportunities to raise up new volunteers to serve in this ministry; opportunities to keep our members connected to the Vine; opportunities to connect with new people in our community! Would you help make this vision a reality?

We know the Lord will provide – He always does. Thank you in advance for any support you can give for this exciting endeavor!
