Recently a highly contagious virus, Covid-19, threatened our public health, even the lives of our elderly and vulnerable. All of our society is rightly concerned with limiting people’s exposure. We don’t know from day to day whether we’ll be able to go to work, eat at our favorite restaurant, or even find toilet paper.
When we see the empty shelves on the toilet paper isle, or the food isle, and we hear about the decline in the stock market, or the incessant reports from the media about school, work, and restaurant closures, as well as the reports about the increasing number of ill or affected people, it can be easy to forget where our hope comes from…to lose our focus…to forget the power of the Almighty and the hope He gives to His people.
We all need hope in the midst of this pandemic! Hope is a powerful thing.
“There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow.” G. K. Chesterton
“There is no medicine like hope . . .” O. S. Marden
“Everything that is done in the world is done by hope." Martin Luther
In Christ, we DO have hope. Find out more as you watch these important teachings on hope.
