Mother's Day 2019, Byron City Church
Men of God in the past have been richly blessed by what they learned from their mothers. Consider the Moses, Samuel, and Timothy of the Bible. The maternal influence experienced by these great and godly leaders bore rich fruit in their lives.
Then there's other well known figures such as Augustine, John Newton, and the passionate and faithful Wesleys. Their names likely would never have made the pages of history if it hadn’t been for the mothers of great faith who raised them in homes where the law of love and a Christian witness were their daily guide and inspiration.
Let us honor our godly mothers today, not just with words of praise, but with lives that reflect the impact of their holy influence! And let's not forget how poor our lives would be without them!!
